Pinky Promise is a project about secrets that are promised to be kept. As humans, we create a facade we portray to people even though we have secrets or promises that we keep to ourselves. Sometimes, we trust in people to keep our sacred secrets but sometimes, that promise is broken. This project lets you in on an experience with how easily promises can be broken.&#38;nbsp;

	
‘Do you promise to keep it a secret?’ is the first question prompted before going through the images in which you do promise. In one look, the 8 photos in the folder appear beautiful, but within them are truly heartbreaking stories and secrets that are based on submissions that strangers have shared.&#38;nbsp;Curiosity kills the cat. 

	
A picture has to be taken of each print with flash, which will then reveal a secret. Thus, promises are broken in a flash.
*This project was showcased at -ING Festival 2017 in Dubai, UAE.

		<description>Freedom of Speech Poster

“Fuck Freedom of Speech” means nothing can be done to have the full freedom in freedom of speech. The best way to have the full freedom is to disregard the law and completely pursue it. One is acclaiming the right to free speech but can mean that an extreme extent of harming people with speech is acceptable. Thus, leading to the contradiction that when you go against an extreme side of free speech, you are also supporting it.

“Fix Freedom of Speech” is another way of supporting freedom of speech by accepting the laws and continue practicing freedom of speech in an unharmful manner. To fix free speech suggests that there should be a limit.

		<description>Subterranean Homesick Blues

In respect to Bob Dylan, this data visualization poster is based on one of his most popular songs. Subterranean Homesick Blues was written after the Vietnam war had ended. At that time, in the 1960s, youngsters were rebellious, the government was corrupted and the use of drugs were popular amongst people. In this song, Bob Dylan strongly emphasized the chaos of that era as a warning to people as well as an encouragement for people to renew themselves for the better. 

This poster focuses a lot on its lyrics so as to highlight all the things that were happening at that period of time, with a legend at the bottom to help better understand the data. The lyrics can also be seen behind the blocks of data.

Throughout the years, local music in Singapore has been rising. Platforms for Singaporean start-up bands, emerging bands and seasoned bands to showcase their talents are not prominent enough. This project is targeted to youths to encourage supporting local talents through music. As its name suggests, Enigma Music Festival is where the mystery of undiscovered music artists and designers would unfold. With the help of aspiring designers, youths will be able to appreciate local music in an entirely new holistic experience provided by the unique visual identity.

	
With that, my aim was to create a unique local indie music festival and visually communicate the harmony between local music and local design in hopes of getting the audience interested in local music and design.

This project was based on a music festival I made up and it tested my ability to design an entire music festival package. The booklet focuses on the bands playing at the festival and a fair bit of information on them.

	Direct Mailer for The Book Café
The best thing about going to a café to read a book is that either coffee or tea are its greatest companion. My direct mailer is a simple combination of a classic book packaging that comes with a tea bag bookmark. The unique part about the tea bag are the newspaper cut outs inside them to show that instead of infusing tea leaves in water for consumption, they infuse the book they are currently reading. Thus, showing that the place perfect for this experience of eating, reading and drinking tea is at The Book Café.
